Dropped into 2.0?

"but for now got dropped in the next coming version SVG 2.0." I couldn't understand whether Multipage has been dropped completely or deferred until SVG 2.0 with this wording. Perhaps, "but has been dropped in favor of incorporating Multipage support into SVG 2.0"
