Message definition (Release notes/1.0)
The CSS property [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/white-space 'white-space'] controls how white space is handled. By default, SVG collapses all adjacent white-space including newlines into a single space. By setting the
white-space
value to
pre
,
pre-line
, or
pre-wrap
, Inkscape will respect newlines and generate multi-line text. At the moment, one must use the XML Editor dialog to change the
white-space
property value. (Supported by Firefox. No SVG 1.1 fallback created by Inkscape.)
