I was wondering about the possibility of a "layers" like dialogue for all objects in a given layer. The utility of this would be to allow for easier selection of, promotion/demotion and various editing commands of all the given objects within a layer. It could even extend the existing layers dialogue by providing a hierarchical "stack tree" of objects as a sub-level under the layer. (Thus allowing locking and visibility options to occur on a per-object basis.) Has such a feature been discussed previously? I was unable to locate it on FeatureNotePad and/or FeatureNotePadArchive - RationalOgre 14:11, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

AFAIK there is no detailed specification for an object and group browser. Various related feature requests in the bug tracker are linked to a blueprint, but no detailed page with specifications and mockups has been added yet: Blueprint -- Better management of layers (duplicate, drag & drop). - ~suv 14:42, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
