= Tips for getting Extensions to work = Inkscape's extensions allow for importing and exporting non-SVG file types and direct editing of the current SVG document. For more information about the Extensions that appear in the Effects menu read GettingEffectsWorking.
Open *.TXT
- install perl - install SVG perl module
Open *.AI
- install perl and optionally Image::Magick - Only handles Illustrator versions prior to version 9 (version 9 onwards stores files as PDF according to https://createpdf.adobe.com/cgi-feeder.pl/formats?BP=&LOC=en_US)
Save *.AI
- requires pstoedit with the ps2ai filter - uses Inkscapes internal ps output extension
Open *.PS
- requires skconvert python script from sketch =>> install sketch
Open *.WMF
- requires wmf2svg, part of libwmf (http://wvware.sourceforge.net/libwmf.html)
Save *.PDF (Win32)
