Hackfest: Boston/USA, MIT SIBP, ~March 2018~

Description

A hackfest! We will work on Inkscape bugs, new features, and packaging as well as website issues; in fact anything that can benefit from developers and users being physically in the same space.

Boston

Boston is well connected being half way between Europe and the West of the USA. It is modern, accessible city that many Inkscape developers have said they can get to. There are direct flights to/from most major EU cities.

Venue

The hackfest will take place at ~Stata Center at the Massachusetts Institute for Technology (32 Vassar St, Cambridge, MA 02139)~. This is a Student class room environment located at MIT. The SIBP group support Free Software projects and will be the host for Libre Planet 2018.

Take MBTA Red line to Kendel/MIT.

SUBJECT TO CHANGE: We may move the hackfest to RedHat's offices at 300 A Street (accessible from South Station).

Hackfest Dinner

An informal dinner will be held one night. TBA.

Attendance

Anybody interested in Inkscape is welcome to attend. Funding is not decided for travel expenses based on past contributions to Inkscape. See the Hackfest2018 Attendees page for more details.
