Corel Draw and Illustrator are of course obvious contenters in this game. But to reach an even wider audience i would suggest that Inkscape also adapts features from the excellent Corel Designer. This app is basically Draw with some CAD-like features. These features such as dynamic guides, enhanced snapping, real archs and dimension objects are needed in every type of technical design tool for making patterns, drawings etc. <br />

Lets help all poor designers get a perfect tool for technical illustration. There not many user-friendly alternatives on the market (i would say that Corel Designer is pretty much the only one...).<br />
