As a very basic concept, a clone is a "dynamic copy" of a master object. Object handles are not available on the clone, only on the master object, so modifications to the master object result in the same operation being applied to the clone children. *All* objects in Inkscape can be cloned, including "special objects" such as squares, circles, stars and text.

Using Clones

Synopsis:
As a very basic concept, a clone is a "dynamic copy" of a master object. Object handles are not available on the clone, only on the master object, so modifications to the master object result in the same operation being applied to the clone children. *All* objects in Inkscape can be cloned, including "special objects" such as squares, circles, stars and text.
