O/S: Fedora Core 3
The repository (yum) version of Inkscape is 0.43 (corrected) 
The latest Inkscape does not seem to be forthcoming as a binary for Fedora. 
I have tried the '''autopackage''' and I get this error when I run inkscape:
 
inkscape: /usr/bin/../lib/libpng12.so.0: no version information available (required by inkscape) inkscape: /usr/bin/../lib/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.4' not found (required by inkscape)

I have sought these things in yum, but have not had much luck. 
I tried to compile from source. Ouch. The dependencies are overwhelming and I will have to compile them from source too! It's too confusing for me.

Now, I am not an expert, just a designer who wants to use his favourite tool! On Windows I can install the 0.44 version no problem, seems ironic that it cannot be so on Linux.

Any suggestions? Perhaps a wiki page to help twits like me through these situations?

Même si je ne programme pas, j'espère pouvoir participer à l'amélioration de Inkscape et aussi participer à la création d'un module de dessin technique permettant :

* aux utilisateurs d'autocad, de retrouver des outils familiers pour leurs dessins.
* aux utilisateurs d'Inkscape, d'avoir des outils et fonctions hergonomiques pour des réalisations plus techniques.

Le projet d'apporter des outil techniques de précision à Inkscape existe déja ([[Roadmap#Milestone_18_-_Inkscape_0.52_-_Tech_drawing_abilities|v0.52]]) mais ce que je propose est un plugin permettant d'avoir des fonctions tels que les accroches objets, sous la main et indépendant des versions du logiciel.

Comme on dit : mieux vaut un beau dessin que de longs discours :

Ceci est un montage à titre d'exemple, le design des boutons et le choix des fonctions est à définir.

Je pense que si l'idée est simple la réalisation de ce plugin ne devrait pas être très compliqué : il demande cependant une connaissance suffisante du langage python ainsi que des fonctions mathématiques nécessaires à chaque outil (Possibilité de s'inspirer de ce code : [http://lib2geom.sourceforge.net/] ou encore de celui de [http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qcad Qcad]

Je pens que si l'idée est simple la réalisation de ce plugin ne devrait pas ètre tres compliqué : il demande cependant une connaissance sufisante du langage python ainsi que des foctions mathématiques nécessaires à chaques outils (Possibilité de s'inspirer de ce code : [http://lib2geom.sourceforge.net/] ou encore de celui de [http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qcad Qcad]
