Description

A hackfest! We will work on Inkscape bugs, new features, and packaging as well as website issues; in fact anything that can benefit from developers and users being physically in the same space.

Date

April 11th through 13th just before the Libre Graphics meeting (April 15th-18th).

Venue

The Hackfest venue will be in the Evans Room at Devonshire Hall, University of Leeds. It is located in the Hyde Park area of Leeds. Address as follows:

Devonshire Hall
Cumberland Road
Leeds
LS6 2EQ

A map of the venue is available online.

It is a traditional "Oxbridge style" stone-built hall and our meeting room will accommodate 10 delegates. We will have access to the meeting room from 0900–1700 each day.

Catering

A buffet lunch will be provided each day. There will also be an unlimited supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. Sugar, milk and soy milk will be provided.

Facilities

  • Wireless networking
  • UK mains power (remember to bring your own UK power adapters if you're coming from outside the UK!!)
  • Data projector & screen
  • Flipchart and pens

Nearby amenities

There are a few pubs, bars, cafes and coffee shops 5 minutes walk away from the venue if we want a change of scenery. There is also a small convenience store.

The venue is located on the Woodhouse Ridge nature trail if you want to step out for some fresh air.

An informal dinner will be held at The Cross Keys pub in Holbeck, Leeds on the final day of the Hackfest: Wednesday 13th April at 7pm. The food will be fairly traditional Yorkshire cuisine.
